Khwima Brave Mkandawire was born and raised in Blantyre, Malawi. He attended the National College of Information Technology, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business information technology. After college, Khwima headed an IT department as system administrator at Macsteel Malawi Ltd, a subsidiary of Macsteel South Africa. Most recently, Khwima worked with the International Institute for Communication Development Netherlands, in collaboration with African E-Health Solutions International Tanzania, where his main duties were designing, programming and implementing AfyaPro, an e-health system, for Malawi, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. In his free time, Brave enjoys playing volleyball, chess, swimming, software programming and other IT related things.
