Kunda Phiri hails from Chingola, Zambia. She is a doctor who integrates a holistic approach into her clinical practice to address the complex social, economic, and cultural determinants of health. Prior to joining GHC, Kunda worked in Muchinga for two years, leading a diverse team of healthcare professionals in day-to-day patient care to ensure optimal health outcomes. She has also worked as a peer mentor in a drug-resistant tuberculosis program and has volunteered as a health promoter in a local cervical cancer prevention program. In her free time, Kunda enjoys working out and reading.
