Author: Landon Myers

For the past three years, Landon has been a passionate advocate for health equity working as an Associate with the Infectious Diseases Initiative at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. In this role, his work focused on infectious diseases, specifically HIV and hepatitis throughout the United States, where he primarily facilitated convenings of government and community stakeholders to advance conversations pertaining to pertinent issues in the field. He has authored and supported a number of reports, publications, and issue briefs in this space as well. In a separate capacity, Landon has also dedicated considerable time strengthening the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) of the workplaces directly involved with his work. He has worked with the O’Neill Institute and the Law Center to facilitate the development of DEI workshops, values development trainings, and employee policies. As of August 2023, Landon will be transitioning to the role of Director in the Centers and Institutes Office of Georgetown University Law Center. In this position, Landon will be serving as a liaison and trusted advisor between the twenty-two Centers and Institutes and the Law Center more broadly. These hubs of expertise, which analyze and refine laws and policies across their respective fields, all function under the direction of Georgetown University and the University’s Law Center. Landon will be a strategic partner to all of the centers and institutes as they synergistically develop, both individually and collaboratively with each other and in alignment with the Law Center's goals, to sustain momentum and drive complex change. Landon attained his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2020 and became an admitted member of the D.C. Bar shortly following graduation from law school. In May 2023, he also received his LL.M. degree in National and Global Health Law from Georgetown University Law Center. He is excited to be joining the Centers and Institutes Office in this new role as Director.
