Originally from Los Angeles, California, Lauren Chin now calls Boston, Massachusetts home. As Platform Project Coordinator for Ariadne Labs, Lauren supports the technology strategy and seed grants for human-centered health systems solutions for underserved communities across the U.S., India, and Sub-Saharan Africa. As an expert in health systems innovation, Lauren oversees the project and people management for three subject expert teams, ensuring the maintenance of positive relationships with external stakeholders. She also conducted and synthesized interviews with 11 project teams to determine whether to continue financial investment in a digital platform for the dissemination of public health implementation tools and communities of practice. To support the professional growth of the teams she oversees, Lauren coordinated professional development presentations on human-centered design and implementation of innovative public health processes. As a GHC fellow, Lauren hopes this opportunity will “challenge my current beliefs about the most efficient ways to improve health, teach me how to advance projects efficiently, and help me form relationships with others holding similar values and public health goals that can pave the way for future collaboration in innovating American public health later in our careers.”
