Originally from Lusaka, Zambia. Lighton Nyirongo is passionate about improving global health outcomes at the community level, especially in rural areas. Prior to joining GHC, Lighton was the Communications and Networking Coordinator for SAT Zambia. Lighton also received the Regional Youth Quake Activism Award for providing media coverage on a wide range of sexual reproductive health and rights issues affecting adolescents in Zambia. In his free time, Lighton enjoys reading books, watching and playing football, and listening to music.
