Mac is from Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from American University’s School of International Service with a degree in international studies. While at American, he developed a passion for global health through his coursework and as an intern for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatrics AIDS Foundation in their Public Policy, Advocacy and Communications department. He also spent a summer volunteering for Movimiento Sonrisa at a children’s hospital in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where he developed educational activities for patients in the malnutrition and infectious diseases wards of the hospital. Since leaving American, Mac has worked as an analyst in the healthcare practice of Huron Consulting Group in New York and Chicago. He enjoys playing and watching soccer, and most Saturday mornings you can find him cheering on his favorite team, West Ham United.
