The daily needs pressed forward by my brothers and sisters in this region of Africa prompts me to do something to ensure that they develop knowledge and skills that will create a means of addressing those needs.

Kruger is from Karonga, Malawi. During his sophomore year at Chancellor College, University of Malawi, Kruger co-founded the nonprofit organization, Global Hope Mobilization, whose mission is to create a society free from socioeconomic ills, health inequity and maintain a sustainable environment. The organization now reaches more than one million people through various projects that deal with HIV, PMTCT, climate change, economic empowerment, water, and sanitation and hygiene. Kruger completed his undergraduate studies with a major in economics and double minor in computer science and sociology. While at Chancellor College he served as the president of University of Malawi Economic Society where he pushed for the creation of internship opportunities for its members. Additionally, as president, Kruger focused on the elimination of financial and economic illiteracy in the surrounding community through a volunteer educator program. In 2014, Kruger was recognized as a peace agent by Peace Revolution’s World Peace Initiative Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand. Currently, Kruger lives in Lilongwe where he is strengthening health activities at Global Hope Mobilization and serves on the task force established by the National Association of Youths Living with HIV. Kruger is an active member of national and international networks, including the Economics Association of Malawi, TEDx Lilongwe, and FCNSA, and loves motivational public speaking.
