Hailing from Lusaka, Zambia, Malala Mulavu is a champion for health services and the improvement of health service delivery. Prior to joining GHC, Malala worked as a Graduate Research Assistant under the National Institute of Health’s Tick and Tick-Borne Zoonoses grant project, where she carried out and published scientific research studies concerning neglected tropical zoonotic diseases in Zambia. She has also worked as a laboratory scientist at Cardinal Adam Memorial Hospital where she sought to provide high quality affordable healthcare services to members of the community. Additionally, she served as a volunteer at the University Teaching Hospitals pediatric labs where she assisted lab staff in carrying out daily duties involving lab work. For fun, Malala enjoys reading, cooking, and painting.
