Marjorie Bruggeman is from Belgium. She’s the third child of a family of eleven, among whom are four adopted with disabilities from different countries. Her family’s education and values deeply influenced Marjorie’s professional career in nursing. Social justice and health equity have been her central focus in her life and she specialized with honors in public health. Her strong commitment for justice and health has led her to travel and work in places like Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Guatemala, which primarily consisted of supervising health promotion plans among marginalized people. Additionally, her enthusiastic and rigorous personality were key assets that enabled her to be the head of nursing at a shelter for homeless people and migrants based in Brussels.
