Mary Kate Schroeter hails from Vermont, USA. She is a social worker committed to innovating the delivery of services and changing policy. During her undergrad, Mary Kate led a participatory-action research study of youth in foster care in Vermont and worked in a residential facility for young mothers. After graduating, she moved to New York City to work in tech startups. Mary Kate worked with the local government on evaluation and policy related to homelessness, and she worked at an anti-poverty startup called Propel that makes an app for over one million SNAP recipients in the US. In her free time, Mary Kate loves traveling, cooking for her friends & family, and enjoying the great outdoors. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
