Miriam (Mimi) Frisch is originally from Buffalo, New York. She has been actively involved in the health field since high school when she was a part of Catalyst Foundation, an NGO in Vietnam where she worked extensively in Vietnamese communities doing field health assessments, assisting with grant writing, fundraising and data analysis. Mimi is a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in international and area studies focused on global health and urban studies with a minor in economics. During her time at the University of Pittsburgh, she focused on the role of societal factors and their impacts on health and disease. Mimi spent four months in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she conducted research on poverty risk factors during a dengue fever outbreak. She also served as president of Challah for Hunger, a student-run organization that bakes Jewish bread to advocate and fundraise for local and international organizations addressing food disparities. Mimi spends her free time cooking, eating, and running.
