Mubuka grew up in Lusaka, Zambia. He volunteered for Hillsong City Care as a community outreach volunteer focusing on homeless and prison populations. Mubuka completed his undergraduate degree in business and commerce, majoring in marketing from the University of Western Sydney in 2011 with a diploma of business from Technical and Further Education Commission of New South Wales in Marketing. In New South Wales, Mubuka volunteered at the Silver Water Correctional Center and the Parklea Correctional Center, working in the Compulsory Drug Treatment sections. Prior to joining Global Health Corps, he worked for Draft FCB Zambia Advertising Agency as an account executive. Mubuka is an avid rugby and tennis fan.
