Kupakwashe is from Harare, Zimbabwe. She studied at the University of Africa where she received her bachelor’s degree in health services management. In college, she participated in a class outreach for displaced populations, which assessed living conditions and health needs of a population relocated under an urban area restructuring to a remote area. After completing her studies, she joined Premier Service Medical Investments (PSMI) in the human resources department. She participated in the organization’s transformational strategy, which resulted in improvement in quality of healthcare services provided. Her key functions were in recruitment and retention of medical staff. She has been an active participant in PSMI’s Mobile Outreach Unit, which partners with rural communities to provide dental, optometry, pharmaceutical, radiology, and clinical laboratory services. She enjoys traveling and running and participated in quarterly charity runs for Bon Marche, Zimbabwe for the past two years.
