Health equity means building a bridge for everyone to access health care according to their unique needs. It means to dismantle any structures and biases that hinder the least privileged in society from obtaining holistic health care.
Born in the small town of Kabwe, Zambia, Mukumbuta Nawa Talama has leveraged her role as a doctor to provide equitable healthcare and improve health outcomes for her community. Prior to joining GHC, through various volunteer opportunities, Mukumbuta has advocated for health and wellness initiatives for the youth and the mitigation of substance abuse. In her spare time, you can find Mukumbuta cooking, reading, writing, or listening to inspirational content.
