Mumderanji Salomie Balakasi was born and raised in Dedza, Malawi and is the founder of Dedza Active Youth Organisation. Most recently, she worked as a Project Assistant in ICT and Data Management and a Personal Assistant to the Director at Blantyre Institute for Community Outreach (BICO), facilitating the implementation of the mhealth system that BICO currently use for its data management. Mumderanji has also worked with ITECHAfrica as an IT specialist and has volunteered with Youth to Youth Empowerment Malawi. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computing and statistics from Malawi Polytechnic.
