Mwangala Nyambe was born and raised in Lusaka as the youngest in a family of nine. She is a passionate pharmacist who believes that transformation of health services begins with ourselves. Prior to joining GHC, Mwangala worked as the head of the pharmacy department at Swakopmund State Hospital and supervisor of pharmaceutical services in that district, as part of the Global Fund. Most of her time was spent giving medication information to patients from within the community. Additionaly, Mwangala spent her pharmacist pre-registration training at Windhoek Central Hospital in Namibia, where she worked closely with other health workers to curb diseases that affect the population. In her free time, Mwangala loves reading inspirational books, composing motivational nuggets for her blog and baking treats. She wanted to be a health care provider that makes a real difference in the lives of her patients.
