Health equity is the provision of need based holistic quality healthcare to individuals in a dignified manner.

Naina Qayyum hails from Islamabad, Pakistan and recently lived in Beijing, China for a year. She is a passionate advocate for health equity. Naina studied global health and took courses on health economics during her undergraduate studies at Middlebury College. While at college, she published a paper with a professor on the role of routine immunization in eradicating polio in Pakistan and her senior thesis was on the impact of covert drone strikes on polio eradication efforts in Pakistan. As a Schwarzman scholar in China, Naina did her master's thesis on the factors contributing to China's maternal health and also interned at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation researching the successes of the Hepatitis B Vaccination program in China. Naina holds a Master of Arts in economics and business from Tsinghua University, Schwarzman College. During her free time, Naina enjoys running outdoors or snuggling in with a good book.
