Title: Policy and Program Officer
The varied global outlook of health outcomes and quality of life is deeply entrenched in the unjust structural socio-economic disparities in our world. Creation of a better future calls for a generation of leaders who become a voice to the voiceless.

Nigel James was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is an enthusiastic and energetic public health practitioner with a deep-seated passion for championing health and healthcare access innovations, particularly for the marginalized and vulnerable population groups. Prior to joining GHC, Nigel co-founded the Russel & Nigel Foundation, a corporate social responsibility initiative formed in 2015 to support young, talented but disadvantaged children in high density schools in Harare. Additionally, he was a volunteer counselor for an Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights project pioneered by Medicines San Frontiers. He has an academic background in health promotion from University of Zimbabwe. He also earned a Master of Public Health, with a specialty in global health, from Thammasat University in Thailand. Nigel enjoys travelling, outdoor fun, writing, and making friends.
