Omar Khan hails from New York City. He is passionate about strengthening health systems and critically examining the history of public health to learn from and acknowledge past mistakes and successes. Prior to GHC, Omar completed a year of service through the AmeriCorps fellowship as a Tobacco Reduction and Hypertension Project Coordinator at Housing Works in Brooklyn, New York. He also interned for the Division of Health Systems at the World Health Organization. Omar graduated from Columbia University and enjoys cooking, reading, and meeting dogs.
