Paris Acosta is a trained doula from Kyle, Texas committed to improving postpartum care for new mothers and families, as well as ensuring safer birthing outcomes for people of color. As a woman of color working in the public health space, Paris is passionate about addressing health disparities within marginalized communities. Currently, Paris works with Austin Public Health's Family Connects program, where she helps families navigate the complex healthcare system and connects them to community resources. Through this work, Paris strives to create a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system that meets the unique needs of all individuals and communities, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
