Patricia Akot is a Ugandan who is passionate about social justice, health equity, and the right of every child to dream and be. She attended Makerere University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science. Patricia also has postgraduate training in human resource management, development studies, and business management. She worked in Uganda’s pension sector for five years and rose through the ranks from sales agent to general manager at Liaison Group, a leading regional risk and pension consultancy. While at Liaison Group, she applied innovative socioeconomically inclusive models to expand social protection in Uganda. In 2014, she began volunteering full-time at Bless a Child Foundation which supports children suffering with cancer.
