Rachel Bridge was born and raised in Westborough, Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and African & African American studies. While in college, Rachel developed her passion for global health and community engagement through her work with the Danforth Scholars, Civic Scholars, Medicine & Society Programs, and GlobeMed. She served as the GlobeMed Co-President of her university’s chapter and spent a summer interning with GlobeMed’s partner organization, Uganda Development and Health Associates, to address gaps in youth sexual health education and child malnutrition in Iganga, Uganda. Rachel also interned with Partners in Health to expand the right to health movement through empowering grassroots community organizers. She was also a founding member of Washington University in St. Louis’ Student Group on Race Relations and actively worked on organizing and protesting for racial justice. Rachel is an avid tea drinker, and dog lover, who enjoys spending her free time being outdoors, reading, and exploring new places.
