Rachel Glogowski was born in Connecticut. She attended Villanova University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in political science and the humanities. While at Villanova, Rachel was exposed to the public health field while completing global health and development coursework in rural Rajasthan, India. After graduating, she returned to India as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at a public school in the heart of Calcutta. Rachel stayed in India, helping to manage a fair trade and youth development initiative at the grassroots level in rural Southern India as a Field Fellow with the Profugo Development Initiatives. Upon returning to the United States, she worked as a Communications and Development Intern with Youth Journalism International.
