Rachel Haggard is from Temecula, California, and currently lives in Oxford, Mississippi. She is an advocate for using informed research and community-based participation to fight poverty, health disparities, and food insecurity. Prior to GHC, Rachel ran workshops with high school students to empower them to work towards better health in their communities. This past year, she presented a community-based project focused on improving census counts in underprivileged areas of Mississippi. She loves reading, yoga, and acroyoga.
