Title: Social Protection and Health Fellow
Two things motivate me every day: my family, and the dream of improving the society from which I come from.

Originally from Colombia, Ralfh is a medical doctor with a strong interest in the health of vulnerable populations. After graduating from medical school in Bogota, he moved to a remote rural village in the Colombian countryside to implement social programs aimed at preventing waterborne and tropical diseases. After moving back to Bogota, he worked with underserved populations in the outskirts of the city. As a result of these experiences, Ralfh pursued a master's degree in global health policy at the University of Tokyo, in Japan. During this time, he interned at the Pan-American Health Organization in Washington, DC, where he wrote a report for the Gates Foundation, in collaboration with PATH, assessing the feasibility of a nationwide rice fortification program in Colombia. Before joining GHC, Ralfh consulted for the WHO on maternal and child health issues and worked at the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo.
