Author: Rebecca Frank

Rebecca Frank grew up in the California, USA, but has lived in Boston in Massachusetts, USA for the last six years. She recognizes the importance of the broad reach of public health, while also finding ways to connect this work back to the individual people she is seeking to help. Prior to joining GHC, she worked as a researcher for a USAID project in Malawi, where she led a qualitative study on perceptions of care groups and community health workers. As an undergraduate, Rebecca spent a summer in Nicaragua interning at a local development NGO, where she helped run health workshops for women in rural communities. She then spent a semester in Nepal studying development and social change, which culminated with an independent research project on the country’s health care system. Rebecca’s hobbies include rock climbing and cooking. GHC, for Rebecca, provides an opportunity to build her capacities and skills while also having direct patient engagement and the support of an amazing community.
