Rebekah McClure, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Kansas in 2010. Shortly after graduation, she began working as a nurse throughout Central America and Africa. Her travels sparked an interest in preventative medicine and public health. She returned to school and completed her Master of Public Health in 2014. Following completion of her graduate studies, Rebekah worked for a non-profit providing logistical support for medical teams conducting need assessments throughout Africa. During the past year, she has served as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Nursing at a local university in Mwanza, Tanzania. When she is not working, Rebekah enjoys the company of good friends, a great cup of coffee, yoga, traveling, and hiking.
