Richon Ohafia is based in Houston, Texas with a background in telehealth and health informatics. In her current role as the EHE Health Equity Specialist at Harris County Public Health, she collaborates with various stakeholders of Harris County HIV/AIDS communities, and stakeholders at local, state, and federal levels to advance health equity in the activities surrounging improving quality of life for those living with HIV and Ending the HIV Epidemic. Previously, Richon worked as a Care Navigator Supervisor in Austin Texas focused on ensuring her team had all the tools necessary to screen patients for barriers to care, improve patients quality of life and sexual health. Additionally, she worked in Benefits Investigation for a nationwide pharmacy and social services sectors connecting parents to child care subsidies. Richon holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill.
