Ruth Vellemu is a maternal and child health advocate from Lilongwe, Malawi working to combat the different facets of health inequality at the geographical level. Prior to joining GHC, Ruth was awarded and earned membership within the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Health President’s Fund. She has also earned and engaged in a fellowship with the Sub-Saharan African Consortium for Advanced Biostatistics. For fun, Ruth enjoys taking walks and listening to country music.
