Sandra Danso-Bamfo is from Accra, Ghana. She recently received her Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where she worked on improving compliance with the WHO surgical safety checklist for her practicum. Sandra graduated from the University of Ghana Medical School prior to receiving her master’s degree where she was an active member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association. While working as a physician, her interest in health disparities and the social determinants of health grew and she decided to pursue a master of public health to gain more insights into the field and gain additional health skills. Sandra’s clinical interests include surgery, reproductive, maternal and child health. She loves Zumba, ice cream and cats.
