I am motivated by the immense potential each person has to make a positive change in another's life--and by the understanding that realizing this potential means allowing others to positively impact your own life.
Sarah Stevens is from California, Maryland. She studied mathematics, economics, and music at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, with a semester abroad at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. After working for the Department of Defense as a cost analyst, she moved to Guyana to teach math and science. Back in the US, Sarah coordinated the Office of Adolescent Health’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Grantee Conference. She then obtained a Master of Public Health degree in global health from Boston University, during which she started peer health education clubs in Western Kenya. Since graduating, she has worked as a teaching assistant at Boston University and has volunteered with the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, fighting for reproductive justice in New Hampshire.
