Sejal grew up in Central Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, majoring in economics modified with mathematics. Following graduation, Sejal taught for three years in Philadelphia where she was initially placed by Teach for America. During this time, she received a Master of Science in education from the University of Pennsylvania. She then pursued her Master of Public Health at Columbia University in New York City. While completing her studies, she interned with the Young Men’s Health Initiative and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and volunteered with the United Nations Cares – HIV in the Workplace Program. Prior to joining GHC, Sejal worked with the DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness at Boston Emergency Medical Services, Boston Public Health Commission. There, she coordinated, designed, and delivered a variety of all-hazards preparedness trainings - both online and in the classroom - for the Metro Boston region and Eastern Massachusetts. In her free time, Sejal enjoys reading and eating breakfast foods.
