Sheila Kansiime is a native of Mbarara District, Uganda. A trained statistician, Sheila worked on the Uganda National Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey as a Data Officer and on the Uganda Stop Malaria Project under Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is passionate about contributing to public health in Uganda and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at Makerere University. Sheila has also volunteered with the Mbarara Regional Blood Bank to hold blood donation drives in the district.
