Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Siani Antoine now resides in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Health. Siani is currently studying for her Doctor of Healthcare Science at Pacific University Oregon. As the Program Manager of Maternal and Child Community Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, she supports pregnant and parenting families in Greater Boston, primarily focusing on Black and Hispanic community members. Siani supports the Stronger Generations Initiative, which houses several programs to improve family health outcomes. She oversees young parent programs, leads quality improvement projects, and manages and develops partnerships with hospital staff and community partners to connect pregnant and parenting families with necessary resources to ensure their health and safety. Siani has supported program participants to secure housing and employment, and empowers them to build stable long-term care for themselves and their children. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, she also provides support to new mothers. As a GHC fellow, Siani is eager to deepen her self-awareness and leadership abilities through GHC’s unique training, curriculum, and networking approach. She is excited to connect and learn from her cohort members and expand her network of like-minded public health professionals equally as committed to advancing health equity in their communities.
