Sithembile Chithenga hails from Blantyre, Malawi. She graduated from the University of Malawi College of Medicine with a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery. Upon completing her studies, Sithembile joined the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital as an intern physician. Sithembile co-founded Anouk Management, a social enterprise dedicated to tackling unemployment in vulnerable populations through job creation and training. One of her joys is volunteering with the Jacaranda Foundation, an organization that provides free education, medical care, and social and welfare support to student and families afflicted with or orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In her free time, Sithembile enjoys photography as well as exploring the beautiful and exotic cichlid fish that are found in Lake Malawi.
