It is the shared values and beliefs that a community holds which fuels the individual passion to inspire and achieve small goals that in the long run snowball into huge social accomplishments.

Sruthi was born in Chennai, India. She holds a Master of Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. A Felix Scholar, Sruthi pursued her Master of Science in comparative social policy from the University of Oxford, where she specialized in social policy for developing countries and conducted researched on the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in India and Pakistan. Through internships with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and the Max-Planck Institute for Human Development, she gained experience in policy-making in both developed and developing countries. While at Oxford, she volunteered for an education charity conducting fieldwork in rural East Africa to understand the scope and impact of investment in primary and secondary schooling. Sruthi’s belief in behavioral economics and evidence-based policy-making drew her to the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab where she managed a large randomized controlled trial in four Indian states that studied measures to improve performance of community health workers and health outcomes for tuberculosis patients. She enjoys reading, dancing, and swimming.
