Stephen Lee grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but has most recently made his home in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He received a BS in Biology from MIT and an MS in Bioengineering from Stanford University. Following graduation, he has worked as a global health consultant for Applied Strategies, with projects including HIV vaccine market forecasting, demand forecasting for malaria and tuberculosis interventions, and dengue vaccine financing. Stephen has enjoyed traveling through sub-Saharan Africa, most notably to South Africa, where he has participated in musical exchange programs with township youth in Cape Town and Johannesburg. When not traveling, Stephen enjoys exploring new foods and learning languages.
