Tamera Travis received her Honours Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health at the University of East London, where she primarily focused on the social aspects of infectious disease transmission. Tamera did her dissertation on how conservative political ideologies impact HPV vaccine uptake in minority ethnic populations. Shortly after, she went to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where she earned a Master’s in Science in the Control of Infectious Disease. Her final project focused on determining the individual, household, and environmental risk factors for chikungunya seroprevalence in four communities of Bahia, Brazil.
