Tinotenda Cecilia Muchena was born in Mutare, Zimbabwe. She has worked for the Zimbabwe AIDS Network where she contributed to improving the quality of reporting by building the capacity of partners in monitoring and evaluation. Tinotenda also worked for Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ), contributing to the achievement of the organization’s goals through her monitoring and evaluation skills, which she used to make strategic information available for the organization. Before joining HOSPAZ, she worked to finalize the private sector framework to guide the HIV response for a consortium representing employers and workers. Tinotenda holds a bachelor’s degree in development studies from the Midlands State University and a Master of Science in development studies from the Women’s University in Africa. She is passionate about the rights and protection of girls and has conducted research to inform the development of programs that address child sexual abuse.
