Hailing from Rubavu, Rwanda, Vivianne Umuhire Niyonkuru is a fierce advocate for universal health coverage and community health Prior to joining GHC, Vivianne was a summer intern at the London School of Hygiene and Topical Medicine, where she participated in research to learn about different programming techniques and data analysis tools. She also served as a fellow with EcoHealth Alliance New York during which she carried out and authored an original research project while learning about effective strategies for pandemic response. Additionally, Vivianne worked as a Research Focal at the Rwanda Biomedical Centre, where she coordinated field work and data management. Vivianne values her time with family, friends, and her community enjoys going on jogs and playing sports.
