Originally from Sudbury, MA, Zach has called the Research Triangle area of North Carolina home for the past three years. Leading the Growth & Partnerships team at YLabs, Zach focuses on business development, funding partnerships, and strategic growth activities to support YLabs’ youth-driven programs that have reached more than 1.1 million young people in 19 countries. Zach brings his background in partnerships and global health to co-create solutions to pressing challenges, like Asking for a Friend, a digital health platform that helps teens in California navigate reproductive health information and services safely and confidentially. While earning his Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Zach worked with YLabs to research perceptions of male contraception usage, responsibility, and options. He has also supported the Sub-Saharan Africa portfolio at Population Services International and worked with Africare in Dakar, Senegal, and the High Atlas Foundation in Marrakech, Morocco. As a team leader, Zach is keen to develop leadership capacities in mentorship and amplifying and building upon his colleagues’ capabilities. In joining the GHC fellowship, he is excited to “join a diverse community of equity-focused emerging leaders who can support each other by sharing ideas, opportunities, and resources to maximize impact in their communities and organizations.”
