Geeta Rao Gupta is the former President of the International Center for Research on Women, and she is a Senior Advisor to Co-Impact, focusing on gender equality and inclusion as well as supporting work across programs, research, and advocacy. Before joining Co-Impact, she was a Senior Fellow at the United Nations Foundation, Senior Advisor to the 3D Program for Girls and Women, a Senior Fellow at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and a Deputy Executive Director at UNICEF. She serves as a member of the World Health Organization Independent Oversight and Advisory Committee for health emergencies, a Commissioner on the Lancet-SIGHT Commission on Peaceful Societies through Health and Gender Equality, and chairs the Advisory Board of WomenLift Health.
Geeta is a leader on gender, women’s issues, and HIV and AIDs and has received many awards, such as Harvard University’s Anna Roe Award and the Washington Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” Award.
