Madeline Quasebarth is based in Chicago, Illinois, and serves as Director of Research at Planned Parenthood of Illinois. She works within the sexual and reproductive health space and believes it is more important than ever to build coalitions and collaborate across sectors to ensure access to culturally stigmatized healthcare.
In her current role, Madeline is excited to be involved in initiatives that expand PrEP access and address the unique needs of patients traveling for abortion services. She is committed to advancing health equity and social justice through ongoing reflection and education, recognizing the importance of understanding one’s positionality within structural inequities. Outside of her professional role, Madeline is proud to volunteer as a case manager with the Chicago Abortion Fund, supporting individuals navigating abortion care.
Madeline strives to continuously examine what it means to show up for health equity and how she can better position herself as an ally in the fight for justice. To Madeline, leadership means choosing hope and love over despair and hatred. She is inspired by Kamala Harris’s words: “We must choose hope over despair and love over hatred.”
