Praise Mwesiga

Programs Manager

Uganda Youths and Adolescents Health Forum (UYAHF)

Praise Mwesiga has spent over five years working with young people in rural and vulnerable communities across Uganda, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges they face. She is committed to supporting these communities by facilitating participatory solutions, ensuring that interventions reflect the voices and ideas of those they aim to serve.

Outside of her current role, Praise joined Rotary International in January 2024 and, within six months, was selected as a youth director for her club. In this role, she has spoken on meaningful youth participation and development across multiple stakeholder platforms and led successful health outreach initiatives, including health camps for vulnerable communities, earning recognition for her proactive and participatory leadership.

In her current position at UYAHF, Praise is proud of spearheading the development of a six-month curriculum toolkit to guide AGYW and ABYM group engagements in local communities. She also stepped into the program manager role, and during her team leader’s maternity leave, successfully led the team in securing two major health projects, demonstrating resilience, initiative, and results-driven leadership.

Praise is deeply committed to health equity, believing that no one should be left behind due to gender, background, or circumstance. She draws inspiration from the idea that “True leadership is serving others; it’s about impact, influence, and inspiration,” guiding her efforts to create safe spaces where young people, particularly girls, can claim their voice, choices, and dignity.
