Role Overview
This position will provide technical assistance within the M&E and IT department, including management and extraction from the Tingathe database. The positions would contribute to the overall mission of Baylor-Tingathe, which is to provide high-quality, high-impact, highly ethical pediatric and family-centered health. The position will be part of the Tingathe M&E team, and will work closely with the M&E, program, and IT teams at Baylor. The position will work closely with our key partner D-tree International.
Responsibilities
- Support database development and management
- Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures under the supervision of the Head of M&E (e.g. logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart, M&E manuals)
- Support defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as developing monitoring systems throughout the duration of the fellowship
- Assist in the deployment of a program application
- Create quarterly M&E review presentations
- Support the CQI process and writing success stories
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, HIS, or related field*
- Minimum of three years professional experience in eHealth related field*
- Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language)*
- DHIS2 fundamentals: Aggregate data analysis certificate.*
- DHIS2 fundamentals: introduction to DHIS2 certificate
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools e.g. AirByte
- Knowledge of FHI(Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource)
- Prior experience in HIV data a plus
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail
- Good team player and able to collaborate effectively

Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Malawi (BCMCF-M) is a not-for- profit organization working in partnership with the Malawi government in the health sector. Our Mission is to provide high-quality, high-impact, highly ethical pediatric and family-centered health care, health professional training and clinical research, focused on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition and other conditions impacting the health and well-being of children and families worldwide.
Tingathe is a program initiated by Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation-Malawi in partnership with the Malawi Ministry of Health in 2008. Tingathe ("together we can") is committed to helping children and families live healthy, fulfilled lives by providing high quality healthcare and empowering health professionals and communities in southern Africa.
The project is currently implementing the Client-Oriented Response for HIV Epidemic Control (CORE) Activity. The current project seeks to support Malawi in achieving epidemic control, by providing client-focused care to people living with HIV from the time of diagnosis to linkage and full engagement in care. BCMCF-M’s CORE programming is funded by USAID, and is currently operating in 6 districts in Malawi.
