Patricia Mazuru
Senior Director of Africa Programs

Patricia Mazuru is a public health and social impact leader with over 15 years of experience advancing health equity across Sub-Saharan Africa. She has led multi-country programs in sexual and reproductive health, adolescent health, HIV care, and health systems strengthening, working with organizations including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), UNDP, UNICEF, and most recently YLabs, where she served as Technical Director.

Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to social justice and the belief that public health systems must be co-created with the communities they serve. She has collaborated with civil society and government partners to co-develop advocacy agendas that amplify the needs of vulnerable populations—particularly youth and those excluded from access to essential, affordable medicines—and to shape public policy through evidence and collective voice.

A builder of talent and opportunity, she has trained and mentored emerging health leaders to drive innovation from within their communities, blending lived experience with rigorous public health thinking. Patricia brings a strategic lens, a collaborative spirit, and a lifelong dedication to equity in health. Outside of work, you’ll find her on a quest to discover new food spots—especially those with bold flavours and a good story.
