Health equity means that all people-- regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, or other defining characteristics-- can fulfill their basic human right to health, reaching their highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.

Jamee Kuznicki was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As an intern in Nairobi, Kenya, she organized a grassroots NGO called Lisha Mtoto Initiative, which provides preschool education to underserved children in the Kibera slum. Jamee completed her undergraduate degree at Gettysburg College where she majored in economics and French. She returned to Pittsburgh to pursue a Master of International Development from the University of Pittsburgh with a focus on civil society and NGO management. Upon completing her graduate degree, Jamee moved to Washington DC where she worked with the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition at PATH. In this role, she administered a small-grants program, supported donor reporting, and coordinated several working groups focused on critical supplies-related issues. In her free time, Jamee enjoys volunteering at the local Humane Society, learning new yoga poses and cheering on her Pittsburgh sports teams.
