Role Overview
Data Analysts will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help organizations make informed decisions, identify trends, and solve complex problems. They play a critical role in IHM by extracting valuable insights from data and presenting findings to support business objectives and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external datasets.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and cleaning.
- Utilize statistical and data analysis techniques to explore datasets and uncover patterns and trends.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to answer specific business questions.
- Create data visualizations, charts, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
- Use data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Generate reports summarizing key insights and trends for stakeholders.
- Develop automated reporting processes where applicable.
- Perform hypothesis testing and A/B testing to validate hypotheses.
- Interpret data and present actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Safeguard sensitive data and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of datasets, methodologies, and analysis processes.
- Create data dictionaries and metadata.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in data analysis.
- Explore new data sources and technologies for analysis.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.*
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).*
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.*
- Effective communication and presentation skills.*
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.*
- Advanced statistical modeling skills.
- Certification in data analysis or related fields.
- Experience with data governance and data quality management.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
- Experience with data mining and text analytics.
- Project management skills for handling complex data projects.
