Mansi Agarwal is originally from St. Louis, MO and studied anthropology and global health at Emory University. She later received her Masters in Public Health with a focus on International Health Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. While an undergraduate student, Mansi was a research assistant on a NIH-funded study that examined the ways in which social support and religion influenced cancer-related health outcomes among African Americans. During her graduate studies, Mansi did a summer internship with local TB clinics in India where she gained experiences in understanding social and environmental factors that affected the process of diagnosing pediatric tuberculosis among low-income families. After completing graduate school, Mansi was the data manager for the Contraceptive Choice Project, a clinical study aimed at removing financial and educational barriers for women seeking contraception. Mansi is committed to reducing health disparities among underserved populations through the development of culturally appropriate interventions. In her spare time, Mansi enjoys swimming, book clubs, and hiking.
