Leslye Womack
Director of People and Culture

As Director of People & Culture at Global Health Corps (GHC), Leslye works to empower, develop, and support GHC leaders so they can amplify their efforts toward transforming global health. She oversees HR, performance management, staff engagement, recruitment, and learning and development. She’s passionate about building engaged teams that value diversity, authenticity, compassion, and continual growth.

Prior to her work at GHC, Leslye was the Director of Global Human Resources at One Acre Fund, an NGO that supplies smallholder farmers in East Africa with asset-based financing and agriculture training services to reduce hunger and poverty. She began her career as an education volunteer at Peace Corps Ethiopia and Peace Corps Georgia. 

Leslye holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from Texas A&M University. A houseplant enthusiast, at-home chef, and improv performer, Leslye lives in Washington, D.C.

Fun Fact: In high school, Leslye participated in grass identification competitions with the Future Farmers of America (FFA). She loves identifying grasses on long walks throughout Washington, D.C.
